Description:
This elegant Victorian mansion, completed in 1872, was the home of David Davis, the friend, mentor and campaign manager for Abraham Lincoln. Davis was appointed as a U.S. Supreme Court Justice by Lincoln in 1862. The house has eight fireplaces, Italian marble mantelpieces, English tile and French plate glass throughout. It is the site of several community events, including the Glorious Garden Festival in June.
